Reception places are allocated by Gloucestershire County Council using their set criteria:

1. Children with an EHCP.
2. 'Looked after' children.
3. Siblings of children already attending the school.
4. Distance from school.

If the school are unable to provide you with a space within the school year, you do have the legal right to appeal against the decision.  You can do this by contacting the In-year Admissions Team at Gloucestershire County Council.  They will be able to talk you through the appeals process and answer any other queries you may have. They will be also able to discuss other schools in the area with you and help you find a place at an alternative school.
